Some Pink and Red Flowered Knock Out Roses

Some Pink and Red Flowered Knock Out Roses
Several pink and red flowered Knock Out roses are available. These include the Double Red Knock Out rose and the Double Pink Knock Out rose.

Pink Knock Out Rose

Suited to zones four through nine, this drought tolerant plant does well in humid areas. Pink Knock Out rose is three to four feet in height with a spread of four to five feet.

This single flowered Knock Out rose variety blooms freely from spring until the first frost. The lovely vivid pink blooms feature showy yellow centers. The plant is self cleaning, so no dead heading is ever needed.

Pink Double Knock Out Rose

Two of the Knock Out roses feature double blossoms. These include the red flowered Double Knock Out rose and the Pink Double Knock Out rose. These were released later than the single flowered ones.

Pink Double Knock Out rose is a drought tolerant rose. It is recommended for zones five through eleven. The plant is four to five feet in height with a spread of three to four feet.

The hot pink roses are borne in clusters of up to five with up to twenty five roses per branch.

These lovely double pink roses have a wonderful spicy fragrance.

Double Knock Out Rose

Like the original Knock Out rose, the Double Knock Out rose bears lovely red blooms, but these happen to be double.

Double Knock Out rose is a sister seedling of the original Knock Out rose. Available from Jung Seed, this is recommended for zones four through nine. It can be grown in large containers. The plant is usually available as a tree rose at some nurseries and garden centers.

This is a smaller plant than the original Knock Out rose, which was released over twenty years ago. The plant is four to five feet in height with a spread of three to four feet.

Double Knock Out rose is very disease resistant. The Jung catalog also reports this shows some resistance to insects as well, which is good news since Japanese beetles routinely devastate my other roses every year. This plant is also tolerant of heat.

This rose features a greater petal count than the blossoms of the original Knock Out. It bears flowers from spring through the fall.

The petite blooms are a lovely dark reddish-pink to a cherry red. These are very sweetly scented.
